Polgoon Vineyard Pinot Noir Rose Wine
Single variety – Pinot Noir grape (French)
Nose: Fresh Aromas of summer berries, wild strawberries, raspberries and red cherries
Palate: Summer berries coming through on the palate too, this fresh Pinot is young and fruity with a crisp red apple finish
Pairing: A nice one to pair with your favourite dishes due to both the fruitiness of it and the acidity. It will go nicely with your seasoned Cornish crab sandwich or clotted cream ice cream
Wine-making Process: Pressed juice from destemmed and whole bunch pressed grapes to retain the delicate light pink colour. Fermented until desired sweetness leaving some residual sugars, by cooling and stopping the fermentation.
Silver Award at the 2022 IEWA
Judges comment:
“Really nice red fruit running all the way through this wine. Slightly confected strawberry but at a nice level. A really good example of English Rosé”
